Laguna Niguel, Orange County
A third of Laguna Niguel was set aside as open space when the community was planned. Laguna Niguel Regional Park surrounds a fishing lake in the middle of town, and Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park covers the hills to the west. A paved trail follows Salt Creek down through the neighborhoods to the beach at Dana Point.
